Here are my top three photography equipment items that are in my photography kit, items that I rely on a daily basis and I really enjoy using.
Canon 16-35mm f2.8 Lens
This is a very high quality ‘L’ series lens that when coupled with a full frame canon camera is wide enough at 16mm to capture beautiful interiors and landscapes and long enough at 35mm. The quality is as good as many prime lenses, with the added flexibility of being able to zoom to 35mm.
Manfrotto Carbon Fibre Tripod MT055CXPRO3
This I have had for many years and it has never let me down. A good steady but not too heavy tripod. Coupled with the Manfrotto 405 Pro Geared Head this makes it very easy to level up your shots which is so important when using an extremely wide angle lens as one has to avoid converging verticles at all costs.
Step Ladder
An aluminium step ladder that is big enough to be useful and small enough to fit in the back of your car. And light enough to be able to carry around someone’s garden for an hour and a half or so without requiring the services of a chiropractor. Just being able to take pictures from 3 or 4 feet higher than normal can make all the difference.

So there you have it, my top three photography equipment items. I could have easily included many other pieces of equipment, such as a reflector, the actual camera itself (a bit obvious), camera backpack, my lighting system etc however the Canon 16-35mm f2.8 lens, the Manfrotto carbon fibre tripod MT055CXPRO3 and the Step ladder are my favourites.
